Hi! I’m Glad You’re Here.
I’m the woman behind Polishes, Pages & Purrs - a lover of books, sparkly nail polish, cats, new beginnings, and figuring out what midlife can look like when you stop assuming the best parts are already behind you.
This little corner of the internet is where I share the beautiful, ridiculous, difficult, and unexpectedly good parts of this chapter - without pretending I have all of it figured out.
I’m not here as an expert with a perfect formula. I’m here as someone living it too - trying things, changing my mind, laughing when I can, and making room for whatever comes next.
You don’t have to have it figured out to belong here.
This Started With a Blog - and Became Something Bigger.
Polishes, Pages & Purrs began years ago as a place to share the things I loved - books, nail polish, and life with my cats. Then life changed, and eventually the blog went quiet.
Coming back to it now feels different because I’m different. This version has room for the whole picture - midlife, firsts, chronic illness, home, books, beauty, cats, new places, hard days, ridiculous moments, and whatever else this chapter decides to throw at us.
The point isn’t to recreate what Polishes, Pages & Purrs used to be. It’s to let it grow into what fits this life now.
Same name. New Chapter. More room for real life.
A Lot Has Happened Between Then and Now.
There have been losses, surgeries, moves, new beginnings, unexpected detours, and entire stretches of life that looked nothing like the plan.
Some of theses changes were chosen. Others absolutely were not. But all of them changed what “the next chapter” means to me.
I don’t believe every hard thing needs a lesson attached to it. Sometimes life is simply hard. But I do believe we can keep making room for joy, curiosity, connection, and new firsts alongside all of it.
The story changed. It didn’t end.
So, Who Am I Now?
I’m still the woman who loves books, sparkly nail polish, and cats - but now there’s also a first house, a new state, a business, chronic illness, a lot more perspective, and a very different idea of what I want this stage of life to feel like.
I’m learning that this chapter doesn’t have to be quieter, smaller, or less interesting just because I’m older. It can simply be different - and still be full of things worth looking forward to.
I’m still figuring things out as I go, and I’ve made peace with the fact that I probably always will. There’s something freeing about realizing you don’t need a finished version of yourself before you’re allowed to enjoy your life.
I’m not done becoming me yet.
This Isn’t Just About Me.
I want this to be a place where women can show up as they are - whether they’re starting over, settling in, changing direction, or simply wondering what else might still be possible.
Some will come for the books, some for the glitter, some for the cats, and some because they’re looking for people who understand that midlife can be messy, funny, hard, exciting, and full of possibility all at once.
The goal is for this to feel less like following a brand and more like pulling up a chair with people who get it.
